Gilson at Afton

In late November of 2023 Gilson came to me looking to have a video made showcasing their skis. My two friends – West and Bode – both sponsored by Gilson, were game to put together an edit at our home hill, Afton Alps. Despite a knee injury and warm temps we put together what is probably my favorite video I filmed and edited during the 23-24 ski season. The video was mostly filmed at night on fisheye and included some 3D parallax images I shot on my Nishika N8000. Throughout both the filming and editing I tried to create a consistent aesthetic and pacing to accurately communicate the playful but sturdy nature of Gilson’s “Fusion” model.
